Contemplating In dappled maple shade I contemplate -- everything and nothing. Shadows of leaves finger planks of cedar deck and reach for my toes. Clouds, pink and purple scud and sail across the washed out azure sky. Hawks circle, finches twitter and hop from branch to springing branch. The orchestra of bull frogs, tree frogs and crickets haunt the night.
