Before the storm
I hide away inside
Fearing the moment
As it comes near.

Before the storm
I strengthen my shelter
Dreading the confrontation
That is about to hit.

Before the storm
I get my mind straight
Find the words
I might need to say.

Before the storm
I hope for a safe end
That resolution my be
Painless and simple.

Before the storm
I write a letter
Warning my family
I might not survive intact.
