Don't Smear Our Glasses
I did not enter the contest; however, this is what I would like to say to the world.

Don't Smear Our Glasses

It’s true. Yes, it’s true. I am an idealist.  You can join the many others who tell me that I see through rose-colored glasses.  I just believe this world, if we work together, and - if we keep some of that stuff in the closet; we could have a more harmonious life-experience.  I know some stuff must be brought out of the darkness and exposed to the light of hope – and, it’s okay to bring out that which would help someone. I’m not speaking of Utopia.  But that stuff which is totally selfish, self-serving, and such the like; or, the only reason you bring it out is to smear my rose-colored glasses or should I say our rose-colored glasses, I’m not alone in this – keep that mess in the closet.  That’s what I want to say, Don’t  Smear Our Glasses.

And you ask, “ How are we smearing your glasses?”  Well, I’m glad you asked World.  Now, mind you , I expect to clean up my glasses periodically. But, not as often and please spare me some of the gunk.  If you high-risk-living folk would migrate to those high-risk-living areas and allow the low-risk-living folk to reside in their sections of the globe; this would reduce the gook as well as satisfy the  individual passions.  To illustrate what I am trying to say allow me the following approach.

What may be the real culprit here? The culprit behind the culprit.  Hmmm.  It could be our perceptions; for what I may call high-risk might  be low-risk to another.  For example, I’ve never partaken of alcohol for I believe that would put me at risk to who-knows-what.  While another may view it as merely a pleasure free to indulge no matter the amount of consumption.  Then, I may hear about, read about, or God forbid engage a tragedy originated by someone under-the-influence.  My God, I have to clean off these glasses again.  Are you low-risk folk feeling me?

Where could we start world? Well of course, individually. Each one of us should know who we are.  Yes, it may be a daunting feat because most of us live in denial. And, will not admit even to ourselves who we are.  I know sometimes it’s not a pretty picture and it could be painful.  But,once we accomplish that first step, it will give us some direction as to possible changes to be made and we, low-risk folk,  can reduce the frequency of the cry, “Don’t smear our glasses!”

Then, may you have the courage to open that closet and clean it out. Just an item at a time. And, no need to broadcast it; unless, there is a need to broadcast it.  I know that can be therapeutic and the truth will lead the way to a life free to live, love and to all of whatever you desire.

Well, I did not enter the contest but I just wanted to say to World, “Don’t smear our glasses.”  Thank you for your consideration in regards to this matter
