I ListenTo The Wind
I listen to the wind, struggling with my heart, I know the knot of loneliness, and the precipice of doubt. I hear the edge of dawn, wrestling in my soul, I sense the chill of sadness, deepening below. I choose the foreign coastlines, planning maps where exits lay; I endure expected failure, knowing how to slip away. Real life is merely one day, long deceased are former years, My day evolves through trembles, anticipation of my fears. My journey is no different than of strangers milling by. Decisions are intrinsic, and my betting must be right. Perhaps I do have reasons for my drift from calm to fear, To be the one exception, from those who do not care. I listen to this wind, I'm struggling with my part, on this journey through decisions, begging simply for the heart.
