We Remember ...
A poem remembering 9/11.

We Remember …

We remember with utmost vigilance
Which 9/11 brutally, forever changed
Terrorists viciously attacked our soil
With intentions savagely, deranged.

On this day we pause to remember
Brave American souls gave it all
Some, no less than the ultimate price
Rose and answered the bugle’s call.

The Twin Towers were just the first
Pandemonium as they did come down
In heroic attempts to save precious lives
Firefighters, too, perished on the ground.

The Pentagon was the second target
Of the plane-turned-bomb that hit
Defenders of our freedom fell
By terrorists’ bold audacity and wit.

The fourth plane that did go down
In Pennsylvania fields, not as planned
Valiant passengers fought for freedom
To frustrate, deter the terrorists’ hand.

Some attempt to blame the politics
Of our elected government, you see
Inexcusable were the terrorists' acts
Deliberate crimes against humanity.

Oh, how we forever recall, remember
Our God-fearing nation was attacked
Our respect and love for peace, order
Were brutally shattered and hijacked.
