Me frozen in a millisecond,
eyes watching, brain searching for words like water trapped by a clogged drain as he scales the burly oak, grabbing the knotted off rope --- that I couldn’t even climb in gym class forty years ago --- now swinging, those skinny, five-year-old muscles dancing like The Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall, blue eyes flashing and face grinning “look at me!”
