ANOTHER REASON TO SMILE
A snapshot of happiness, the size of a three-year-old.

Whenever I need another reason to smile
    I remember 3-year-old Cody David ---
    a snapshot from last week
    forever imprinted in my mind ---
Wearing that red fireman's hat
    from last Christmas,
    he is spraying palm trees and
    putting out make-believe fires
    with a long green garden hose in the backyard,
    just beyond the kitchen window.
