Shoeshine She shivers in her shorts and sleeveless shirt as she shines the shoes of sailors at sea with shampoo from the shop across the street. She smiles – her eyes shimmering with suspense at someday showing the selfish shrews on shore her significant savings and stash of silver shells she keeps on shelves in her shed.
