Empty Eyes
I can no longer see what was once there.

I can no longer see the laughter...
                                             Love...
                                                        Life...
That once shown brilliantly in his eyes.
As the seconds...
                         Tick...
                               Away...
The image of happiness fades.
I live in such a lonely...
                                Little...
                                       World...
That only makes my sadness obvious.
So I'll slip...
              Into...
                      The shadows...
And hide from everything.
Because there is no longer that laughter...
                                                                Love...
                                                                         Life...
In his empty eyes.
