He loved her, from afar,
Admiring the soft beauty Lusting after the body Wanting the soul Dying for a touch. He watched her, from afar, Watched her through the seasons Through the years As she grew, developed, Intensified her perfection; He felt her, from afar, Felt the pain when she broke Felt the pride, when she rose again, her head held high; Felt the hope for something greater He wanted to reach out But never did, feeling his imperfection Afraid to mar the perfect skin, The lovely soul. He stayed alone, never coming closer. Oh yes, he loved her- From afar.
