Balen’s grip tightened and he thrust the Sword of Light forward, piercing the Dark Lord's chest. Krix arched back, empty eyes wide and suddenly child-like as he burst in a release of all-consuming divine quintessence. Where once had stood a mountain peak, only a molten plateau remained. Silent. Deserted. Safe.
