Invisible

I don’t want to be noticed,
I don’t want you to see me,
Standing by the corner,
Eyes downcast, not wanting to see.

I want you to forget me,
Forget I ever lived.
After all, why would you remember me,
What did I ever give?

I never remember the good things,
I only remember the bad.
If I could just be invisible now,
Maybe I wouldn’t be so sad.

Maybe if nobody saw me,
I wouldn’t feel the pain this much.
There would be no recognition
Of how the pain’s my crutch.

Death is so cathartic,
To forever disappear.
I’ll vanish from sight forever,
Leaving behind not even a tear.

The crying now has ended,
My world has crashed and burned.
Please let me just leave here,
The hourglass has turned.

I want to die forever,
I want to be unseen.
But the best thing that could happen
Is if I’d never been.
