How I review:
First I start reading... if I lose interest, I don't review it. If I finish it and feel I can give it a four or better, I reread the piece. Then I write a draft review. Before I save, I reread the piece again and tweak my review. My creative writing teacher used to say that before you can learn to write, you must learn to review and critique. 11/2007 I now feel a bit more comfortable on writing.com so If I make it to the end of your work and I do not feel it merrits a four or better, I will rate it, but I will not review it. Part of this is community feedback because there are some truely wondeful things out there that deserve to shine and cannot if every one gets a four or a five. Part of this is to give the writer at least some feedback in exchange for having read the piece.
