LULLABY FOR CHILDREN As the sun is gently setting And the sky is darker blue, Fluffy clouds have gone to bed now And are calling out to you. Chorus: Head laid gently on your pillow Listen to the whispering willow. Jesus loves His little ones, All His daughters, all His sons. You are special children all, He will hear you when you call. All God's furry little creatures, Gone to sleep in bed or nest, Tired from their daytime play now, Lay their heads on mother's breast. All the birds up in the sky, All the fishes in the sea, They have drifted off to sleep now, Just the same as you and me. Sandman comes to sprinkle stardust, Now you slowly close your eyes, Pleasant, dreamy, sleepy thoughts now, Thoughts of pretty butterflies. Gentle spirits caring for you, Sending down their dreams of love, You can go to sleep in peace now Angels watch you from above.
