Today
A brief moment/interaction taken out of my personal life

I keep telling myself next time will be better
My next chance will end with success
I know everything to say, everything to do
Everything’s planned, everything’s perfect
There you are, right in from of me
That countenance which brightens my day
The smile that lights my way
As you sit down, you gently brush my arm
My blood warms as if a volcano had erupted
Sweat runs down my brow,
Those words, I know them
But yet why can I not find them?
I know what you need to hear
I know what I must say
But yet the time has gone
Another chance has come and past
The same results, the same as the last
You get up and walk off
And I haven’t said anything
There I sit, left only with my regret
Those many things I should say
Those many feelings I have yet to express
In my mind I run through it time and time again
Wishing I could say those words
You keep walking, knowing inside
There lies something unsaid, something undone
Pushing back all of the fear,
Repressing all of the anxiety,
Slowly I rise, my eyes meet yours
As I walk over I can feel my heart beating
Longing to jump from my chest
I confess everything I am,
He did you wrong, but yet I am not this man
I will always give you everything that I can
You deserve the affection of one who truly cares
And my hope lies within your heart
Within those beautiful eyes
With which heaven’s light does shine
I should be yours, and you should be mine
