I am from picking names from a bowl for Christmas shopping and stubbornness, from Corrine and Joseph and Kula. I am from the liars and conceited. From keeping family secrets, and not knowing the truth. I am from Catholicism and Sacraments. White veils and pristine souls, soiled in sin and damnation. I am from Detroit, kielbasa and perogies. From the conception of an unwanted baby, the loss of a woman's virginity, explatives spewed throughout my existance. I am from photo albums, treasured jewelry, and declarations from the Pope. I am from hugs from extended family members who care, Members who I have lost and miss horribly. I am from suffering and surgeries. I am from Death kicking me back through life's door, slamming it shut and locking it. I am from shame and the truth.
