Wrote this when I was putting my job on the line.

I am skating on very thin translucent ice,
The barrier beneath becomes more shallow,
My blades cutting in deeper and deeper,
I am proceeding into troubled waters,
Its darkness beckons me into epiphany,
My foundation melts before my eyes,
Yet the only solution is a freezing fix,
I no longer glide, but slide and slip,
How am I meant to regain control?
I pray for a miracle; a sunny winter day.
