                                            Ghazal 15


Persian:  Zay bagh e wasl e to yabad riaz e Rizwan aab
              Zay taab e hijr e to darad sharar e dozakh taab
Urdu:      Riaz e khuld ko milta hay bagh e wasl say aab
              Rakhay hay aatish e hijran sharar e dozakh taab

English:=== Your presence makes Eden a true paradise
                  And in your absence it is a devil's device
                                                    -

Persian:  Chu chashm e man hama shab jooabaar e bagh e bahisht
              Khayal nargis e mast e to beenad andar khab
Urdu:      Ho maeri aankh ki surat jo chashma e jannat
              Nazar maen us ki rahay chashm e mast ander khab

English:=== From fountain of Heaven has come your youth
                  In your magical eyes there is ultimate truth
                                                      -

Persian:  Ba husn e aariz o qad e to burdaand panah
              Bahisht toba o toba laham wa husn maab
Urdu:      Karay muqabala us sarv e seemtan ka na woh
              Ho chahay kitna bhee toba haseen o husn maab

English:=== Your cheeks make roses of Heaven look silly
                  You're slimmer and taller than the Forbidden Tree
                                                          -

Persian:  Bahar sherh e jamal e to darad dar her fasl
              Bahisht zikr e jameel e to karda dar her baab
Urdu:      Her aek fasl e baharan maen sherh e husn teri   
              Karay hay zikr e haseen taera her bahisht ka baab

English:=== Your beauty is reflected in the youth of spring
                  And the praise of your grace the birds all sing
                                                          -

Persian:  Lab o dahan e tura aey basay haqooq e namak
              Keh hast bar jigar e raish o seenaha e kabab
Urdu:      Lab o dahan e haseen kay teray haqooq e namak
              Bohat haen ber jigar e raish o seenha e kabab

English:=== All nectar comes from your lips and mouth
                  Without them surely there will be a drought
                                                        -

Persian:  Basokht in dil e ma o bakaam e dil naraseed
              Bakaam agar baraseeday, naraikhtay khunnaab
Urdu:      Murad dil ko maeray yaar say jo mil jati
              Bahata shouq o hawas maen na itna woh khunnaab

English:=== If only you'll give me a little attention
                  Between you and me there'll be no tension

Persian:  Guman mabur keh badour e to aashiqan mastand
              Khabar nadari zay ahwaal e zahidan e kharaab
Urdu:      Na ker shikayat e usshshaq e mast, kya too nay
              Suna abhee naheen ahwaal e zahidan e kharaab

English:===  And if you think I'm a greedy fool
                  Just look, for you how the pious drool

Persian:  Mara ba dour e labat shud yaqeen keh johar e lal
              Padeed meshawad az aaftab e aalam taab 
              Laboun ko daekh kay taeray pata chala, kaisay
              Banata lal hay ik aafab e aalam taab

                  From which the honey constantly drips

Persian:  Mahil keh umr ba bayhooda bagzarad HAFIZ
              Bakosh o hasil e umr e aziz ra daryaab
Urdu:      Guzar waqt na baykar baith ker HAFIZ
              Uth aur hasil e umr e aziz ker deryaab
