Morning Rain
Last night's pain, to morning rain, to hearts in twain.

Now with the morning
comes the rain
with all its clouds
and cold
and pain.
And lingering still
I see a trace
of last night's  tears
yet on your face.

Now standing pressed
against the glass
I wonder if today will last?
I wonder if again I'll see
the love you once held out to me?

But now the window
clouds away
whatever might have been today.
So I'll not fight,
nor raise my voice-
    I'll simply leave you
    with your choice.
