I WALK ALONE

I WALK ALONE

Head held high and smile in place,
I think I'll rejoin the human race,
I'll meet life head-on, face to face
and of tears you'll never see a trace.

The past is over, long gone, done!
I plan on living my life in the sun.
I walk alone and I'm having fun;
two minus one still equals one. Smile

Forget the memories of hurtful days,
forget living in a twilight-zone haze.
Now I sing when the music plays,
and to God I often offer praise!

I'm a survivor, that's a true fact
and I found the spirit that I lacked
even after the old mirror cracked
when into a corner I was backed.

Head held high and smile in place,
I think I'll rejoin the human race,
I'll meet life head-on, face to face
and of tears you'll never see a trace.
