The Infinite Struggle
Many years ago, while in the depths of addiction, I cried out to God and He heard me.

The Infinite Struggle

In my life I can't seem to see Your face
Father, oh Father I fall ever short of grace.
Is this the life I was truly meant to live?
Or am I just wrapped up inside this meaningless sin?
White demons live under my skin
Green devils smoking my sins
Lives lost, eyes glossed
Over and over again

Liar, oh Liar you don't even care for me
I'm just a mark: a soulless, faceless entity
What do you want? What must I have to give?
Satan, oh Satan with God I'll forever live
White demons your end is near
Green devils the smoke finally clears
Sin waived, lives saved
I'm no longer full of fear

(Bridge)
I never want to see again
I never want to breathe again
This emptiness is on a killing spree
The void will soon envelope me
I close my eyes to search within
The life I had began to dim
I'm glad I saw the need for change
'Cause Lord, without you, I'm afraid

In my life I've come to see Your face
Father, oh Father I thank you for wisdom and grace
I've finally found the life I'm meant to live
Although I know this struggle never ends
God's angels resounding with cheer
Satan's demons screaming in fear
Life, love, heaven above
My future is crystal clear
