On High
A third attempt at a Ghazal.

Placed 3rd in Dr M C Gupta 's Rhyme - Rhythm Contest.  A Ghazal.

On High

Birds danced and whirled on high
with wings unfurled, on high.

They rode gentle breezes.
They soared and swirled on high.

The drifting autumn leaves
were tossed and twirled on high.

I saw the lightning flash,
Thor’s hammer, hurled on high.

So much for me to see
from my own world, on high.
