Finding Me
A poem about searching for the inner self

I thought that all my love was spent
with nothing left to say,
and when you said it was the end
I watched you walk away

And so with wings unfurled, I roamed
to rediscover me,
I traversed roads so far from home
until my heart was free

Now, solitude has cleared the mists
that swirled before my eyes
A flame of passion still exists
and now I realize

I long once more for heady nights,
the nectar of your kiss
caressing to unrivalled heights
of cosmic, heav'nly bliss
