The Proposal ... (a Ghazal poem)
You mean the world to me; you fill my life with joy. You make me sing with glee; you fill my life with joy. You have such beauty with soft skin and golden hair. You are so fair and free; you fill my life with joy. Let’s take the final step and say our wedding vows. I’m sure you will agree; you fill my life with joy. We will invite all of our friends and family. Then everyone can see; you fill my life with joy. If you wish, our wedding can be in this garden. Hang ribbons in the tree; you fill my life with joy. We can hope to have a child who will look like you. Our two will become three; you fill my life with joy. I promise that we will be happy forever. Please Bella, hear my plea; you fill my life with joy. meter: 12-12
