An African Fishing Village White sands extend forever Water kissed by the sun Tide moving out Fishing nets heavy Glistening muscles “We’re gonna need a bigger boat” Comes the mighty shout Children gaze out Boats slice the water Sun slides down Nets bursting the seams Muscles bulge People work side by side Untangling the fishing gown Evening sky on fire With the African sun Shadows fade away Fishing nets empty No brawn needed Orange rose curtains, Descend upon the day Salty breezes blow Night peeks through Empty boats rest Nets strewn aimlessly Bodies relaxed Home fires crackle Caught fish tastes best ![]() 28 lines- Word Count: 101 (including title)
