Chest deep snow covers
The graves of lovers; An angel hovers, Protectively. Through uncounted years Dead roses like tears Echo silent fears Effectively. The wind howls through trees To which cling brown leaves, That break as they freeze Crumbling to dust. Unfulfilled desires Chill Satan’s hot fires, Transform love’s gold lyres To envy’s lust.
