LOVE AND HEARTACHE
Oh, the pain and woes of love, The unending heartache! Shall I, in exchange of these, Perpetual joy take? Swollen eyes and sunken face, An ever-pounding heart! Shall I give up all these and A life free of love start? What will such a life be worth, Without love and its woes? It's only through the heartache That true love always grows. I shall have my love and all The feelings that love brings. Love is what brings tears to eyes. It's in love that one sings. • Written in abcb, 7-6-7-6 format. *Awarded first place in LOVE AND HEARTACHE contest, ""Invalid Item" M C Gupta 31 October 2007
