A True Friend
Looking through a glass door. Stuck on the outside, feeling like the third wheel on a kids bike. I don't fit in with them. I can't keep this up. I don't know how to be like them. Lost in the shuffle. I can't see a true friend in the mix of faces. I need to know you'll be there when I need you most. Through the thick and the thin, you'll be with me till the end. Standing in the open watching face fly by. And still no one stops to say hi. My head hung low I go to class. I fake a smile and no one asks. Sit down in a blank stare, and someone comes and sits there. She smiles at me. I couldn't what friends we'd be. How could I know? That she'd be there when I need her most. Through the thick and the thin she'll be there till the end
