Allie-Gator and the Snowbirds
By E C Wesch The lonely year that followed after losing my dog Snoop was erased with the adoption of Allie. Though time doesn't always heal all wounds, in this case, it came close. Here is an Acrostic poem that describes the joy of this new addition to our family. A small black bundle of energy, Lightning fast as a bumble bee. Little in stature, big in heart. Intense, with a desire for fun, Enjoying life's little pleasures. Glistening ebony fur Aglow in sunlight with Traces of medium brown. Observant, intelligent and Ready to jump. Allie-Gator, adopted on 9/11/07, in Need of love and a home. Dainty, slender body. Tongue long and quick Hurling kisses, likes to lick Everyone. Sunshine and warmth, a Northerner's dream. Two lonely Ohioans, Wintering in Florida, Busy enjoying their golden years. Increasing their family by one small Chihuahua. RVing in the Sunshine State. Doubling the love and fun with Allie and the Snowbirds.
