WINTER’S WRATH
Fury of winter is full Of snowstorms and sunburns. Lakes are frozen, roads are blocked And nothing moves or turns. Not a blade of grass is seen. No insect lurks or crawls. Not a wing flaps in the sky. It seems life almost stalls. Snow blindness and frostbite tend To make men immobile. Taking one step is too hard, Like trudging a full mile. Let’s not be despondent when We know in months a few, Spring will be here again and Life will begin anew! * Written in abcb, 7-6-7-6 format. M C Gupta 1 January 2007
