WHAT DREAMS REMAIN

What dreams remain when all dreams are
Shattered beyond respite,
When one finally surrenders,
Giving up a long fight?

It’s said that hope springs eternal
Inside the human breast.
But how can dreams remain when hope
Itself is put to test?

I don’t now have a hope or dream,
Yet, have a conviction:
That dreams or no dreams, I’ll have His
Grace and benediction.
