THE DEPTH OF MY LOVE
Why ask me if I love you, Or how much do I love? All that you have got to do Is, have a look above. My love is vaster than sky. The stars does it transcend. And from there, eternally, A message does it send. Look at the rose, it has my Love’s fragrance embedded. Inhale the freshness of wind, My love’s, through it, threaded. To know how deep is my love, Just look at the ocean. That my love, too, is as deep, Is my sincere notion. Who gives me this strength, this depth, This freshness and fragrance? Look at the mirror, you’ll find Him without a pretence. If transformed into letters My love will spell your name. I’m sure my love will further, My dear, enhance your fame. • Written in abcb, 7-6-7-6 format. M C Gupta 11 November 2007
