                                            Ghazal 34


Persian:  Riwaq e manzar e chashm e man aashiana e tust
              Karam numa o faro aa keh khana khana e tust
Urdu:      Makan dida mera, dil qayam khana tera
              Too aa kabhee toe keh soona hay aashiana tera

English:=== O make my eyes your only home
                  In my park of love do come and roam
                                                    -

Persian;  Ba lutf e khal o khat az aarifan raboodi dil
              Latifaha e ajab zaer e daam o dana e tust
Urdu:      Haen khal o khad say teray sayd aarifoun kay dil
              Kashish hay daam maen taeray, laziz dana tera

English:=== Your beauty spot has stolen the heart
                  Of a mystic like me from the very start
                                                      -

Persian:  Dilat ba wasl e gul aey bulbul e chaman khush baad
              Keh dar chaman hama gulbaang e aashiqana e tust
Urdu:      Chaman ka saaz hay gulbaang maen teri bulbul
              Guloun ka rang hay sab rang e aashiqana tera

English:=== You are the rose, I nightingale
                  To sing to you I'll never fail
                                                        -

Persian:  Ilaj e zoaf e dil e ma ba lab hawalat kun
              Keh an muferra e yaqout dar khazana e tust
Urdu:      Ilaj e zoaf dil e zaar do laboun maen teray
              Hay pur mufarra e yaqout say khazana tera

English:=== The nature of ailment may be obscure
                  But in your lips you have the cure
                                                        -

Persian:  Ba tan muqassaram az doulat e mulazimatat
              Wallay khulasa e jan khak e aastana e tust
Urdu:      Agar cheh maen raha mehroom e doulat e khidmat
              Bana khulasa e jan laikin aastana tera

English:=== Though in your service I couldn't enroll
                  In the dust of your feet are my heart and soul
                                                          -

Persian:  Cheh ja e man keh balarzad sapehr e shobadabaz
              Az in hayel keh dar ambana e bahana e tust
Urdu:      Maen kya, larazta hay yeh aasman e sahir bhee
              Keh mannay ko hay tayyar her bahana tera

English:=== Of making a promise you aren't shy
                  But no one lies the way you lie
                                                              -

Persian:  Man an neyam keh daham naqd e dil ba her shoukhay
              Dar e khazana ba mohr e to o nishana e tust
Urdu:      Maen wo naheen keh her ik khubroo ko dil day doun
              Keh mohr is pay hay taeri, hay yeh khazana tera

English:=== Oh, how I love you I wish you knew
                  My heart belongs to none but you
                                                                -

Persian:  Too khud cheh laabati aey shehsawar e shirinkar
              Keh toesanay chu falak raam e tazyana e tust
Urdu:      Too aisa but hay keh aey shehsawar e shirin lab
              Jhukaay toesan gardoun ko tazyana tera

English:=== But I'm not the only, for you who craves
                  The stars and the moon are all your slaves
                                                              -

Persian:  Saroud e majlisat aknoun falak ba raqs aarad
              Keh shaer e HAFIZ e shirin sukhan tarana e tust
Urdu:      Saroud e bazm say raqsan huwa falak, jab say
              Hay shaer e HAFIZ e shirin sukhan tarana tera

English:=== But your HAFIZ whenever his verse recites
                  The angels and houris he greatly delights
