“How… what?” “How you get that big boat here without sinking? Water big.” “We sailed it. Don’t you have ships?” “We have kayak. We trade?” “No, no… I don’t think so. What about some food, though – do you have any food?” “You trade food for big ship?” “Again, no. I’m just hungry. You have any food?” “We have corn.” “Corn? But… we feed that to pigs where I come from.” “Corn good. Here, eat.” “Mmph! You didn’t have to shove it into m... wow, it is pretty good. That butter on top?” “Butter, yes. Want bread and turkey, too?” “Well, I suppose. What do you want in return, though?” “Ride on big ship.” “Alright, alright… but only once around the canal! And don’t tell Mr. Columbus.” “Only once? Ugh! Give back corn and turkey. No deserve.” “No, not the corn! Two times around, that’s final.” “Ten!” “Ten? For corn, turkey, and bread? I don’t think so. Four.” “Five!” “Fine, agreed. Five, but no more than that… hey. … Hey! Slow down! You’re going to break the… ! “… sails. Ah well, at least the food is good.”
