Me, as a teenager:

Once in a while I get ambitious,
And help dear mother with the dishes.
And then again, I’m not so spry,
As I sit and watch the dust fly by
While Mother stands there and bitches.


A more current attitude:

It is an adventure to grow old.
Exciting, so I’ve been told,
But to those who agree
All I can see
Is the line of BS they’ve been sold.
