The leafy lettuce-
it feels wet against my skin, laying on its bed. Fuzzy, tomatoes- red, round, curiously firm, juicy and seedy. Long orange carrots- the root really makes its point, standing out for me. Now for the dressing on top of these crisp veggies, creamy, smooth, and white. Making a salad is no sport for young children. Allow us adults.
