Chapter 1 She was weeping and repudiated to let anyone take my grandpa away; they came so silently and so hastily that she am sure that by the time the neighbors had heard me shriek a resonance they were half way cross the country. Everyone says that this way things should be, that Grandpa got what he deserved, but she don’t believe it one bit. Unfortunately, she diverge; for she believe that no one needs nor deserves to be removed from his or her family just because they believe their government could be enhanced. It isn’t like he was articulating that government was useless, just that they could be better but then everyone says that she am to ‘young to sticking your nose into things that you know nothing about’, but one day she will know everything and will my grandpa, even if she have to depart this life for it. At any rate, she can sincerely say that something beneficial came that atrocious day: she met a magnificent man named Daniel Davis. He is going to help her with finding her grandpa. He has also lost someone through this kind of thing and he knows what it feels like when everyone understands what has happened to the lost love but you. “We need to figure the association. I mean, just because you think they are connect.” “But what if I could prove?” said Ashley with eyes. "What if I could prove that the death of Marry Mcdaniels is related to the kidnapping of Steve Robertson?" "But how?" yelled Daniel. "Like this," explained Ashley as she disregarded Daniel's yell, “the killer hired the kidnapper. See the killer killed Marry because she was rich, but when it came to Steve, he probably thought that he could make more money if he kept him hostage. So he hired the kidnapper then killed him when the job was done." “You know, you might be right, I mean think about. Having Steve as a hostage would mean that there could be a large ransom. But it doesn’t explain why he hasn't ransom for him yet." There was an elongated stillness while Ashley and Daniel contemplated about that one unreciprocated predicament. Ashley glowered at Daniel as he sat facing the cranberry wall. "Have you figured it out yet?" inquired Ashley. "What if the killer is waiting for when we stop looking? It would make sense, I mean once the case is declared unsolved it would make it easy for the ransom to be high, plus if he has already killed him no one would know if he planned it just right." “So that means Steve could have been killed he same night as the kidnapper. That explained why there is no trace to Steve being dead or alive. Okay send the solution to the police." As Ashley sent the statement to police, Daniel pondered about the circumstances that both of them were in. "Have you ever thought about the fact that if the government finds use we will be exacted? I mean, think about it, you are black and I'm white and we are in love." "Yeah and what?" inquired Ashley "Well it is illegal, our relationship." "So do you want to break up?" "No it's just sometimes I worry about you at times. You are so happy-go-lucky and I worry that one of these times you will be caught and killed." "Won't you try to come and try to get me back?" asked Ashley, who was on the verge of shedding tears, "you will try to protect right? Or will you just sit on the sidelines and say I told you so?” yelled Ashley. “No! I wasn't trying to hurt you I was just saying that-----" "Saying what, huh? Saying that you think are in control of me, is that it? Well here is something you don't worry about anymore is our relationship!" In addition, with a thunderous clobber, Ashley left the petite two-bedroom apartment, leaving Daniel to stare at the door behind her. Fortunelessly it did not take him a prolonged magnitude of time to decide to get up and go after her. As soon as Daniel open the door, he peeked to the left where he Ashley sitting on the floor lamenting. "Ashley we need to talk about what just happen," declared Daniel as he placed himself down on the floor abutting to her, “of course, when you are ready." At that, Ashley leaned her head on Daniel and chattered between cries. “I know why you are so worried and it makes sense but I'm not the kind of person that really cares. I mean we are so different. We really shouldn't be together." "We totally should be together. You are just upset that's all." At that, Ashley looked up at Daniel. Daniel, who had turned away from Ashley's truthful glower, had started to blubber. "How am I going to live with out you?" cried Daniel, "You mean the world to me and we were everything and you just want to throw away just because I was thinking out loud? Then maybe we do belong apart-- I mean according to the government we shouldn't work out anyway, I mean a black man and a white girl." “A girl, is that what you think of me? A simple little girl?" yelled Ashley "Well, the fact of the matter is that I am twenty-two and you are only fourteen." "Do you think I care?" whispered Ashley, who was now standing, "You think that the only reason that I’m you just too hopefully prove the government wrong? Is that the kind of person that I come off as, Daniel? Huh?" "Maybe you should leave. Go visit a family member or something?" "Daniel Lamarance Davis, don't you go changing the subject on me!" “Leave if that is how you feel. If you want me to stop worrying about you, then leave trust me it will make it easier for me!" yelled Daniel as he walked back into the apartment. Ashley glanced around to make sure no one was in the hallway, and then began to check the other apartments. After she was sure that no one was there, she walked back into the apartment and grabbed her diminutive cerulean purse and brunette wallet. “You walk out you do not come back," shouted Daniel as he viewed her advance to enormous mauve door. "Is that a promise?" remarked Ashley as she marched out. With tears gushing down her slight, gorgeous face, Ashley ran out the building as hastily as she possibly could. She ran up the street and down the block to her sisters. She would have gone in, except she saw the police there. Normally this would not have bothered her but with the government being very strict on the fact that they do not want any interracial relationships, Ashley was certainly uneasy that perhaps the police were there to find Ashley and Daniel. So hurrying by, with giving the idea that she is avoiding the police she sauntered right on by, making sure that she did not attract any attention to herself than necessary. The only place that Ashley knew she would be out of harm's way was the local kids tablet but that was closed. The only thing that Ashley could do was go homewards. Getting on a bus, Ashley thought the exchange of blows that she and Daniel had just encountered. The more she contemplated about it the more she really understood what the government had meant in the relationship would be too brutal to keep together. …...But then again it could have also been the fact that we are in a society that did not accept our relationship whatsoever. Why is society like this? Do they really think that just because there was no racial abhorrence that we should go back to having the races estranged d from each other? What about the fact, that by doing what they are doing they are simply instituting racism: or do they think that perhaps they are helping us? They are causing many more problems than they could have ever wanted. On the other hand, do they just think that as long as everyone can follow the law and really believe in what is being asked of them, then they will have a world that everyone wants: a peaceful one? Then again, it is true that if you give them no reason to have hate then there should be no hate, but it does say should not, so then it would be the best to figure out where the hate is coming from to help prevent, right? If this society is so worried about racism, then why is it not preventing it? On the other hand, do they not know that they are racism? Maybe then, they should learn, right? It would get me killed but if it would show Daniel that I am nothing but a silly girl but he is telling the truth about the fact that I am not as smart as I like to be, but still I am old enough to know the truth of what needs to be done, right? She was in such a rush that as suddenly as the bus came to an appalling stop, Ashley swiftly dashed off the large melancholy automobile. She then moseyed right into the adjacent store. “Hello and welcome to Smart-Mart. I hope that you enjoy you visit.” “I doubt that I will.” “Well if you want I get off in ten minutes you and could get something to eat?” “Sure I would love to.” “So……………. what really bring you to this side of town?” questioned the guy as he used his hand to sweep his almost bleached blonde hair out of his hazel eyes in the restaurant, “ it is clear that not you didn’t come to go shopping?” “Not so girly, am I? Does that make me weird or something?” “Definitely not, but it does make you a bit different.” "What does that mean?" “It just means that you don't have the same essence of the girls that normally come to the store." “I think that just makes it easier for people to hang with me, you know for the fact that I am not of the same essence of them, but it doesn't it makes it easier for my relationships; they last just as long, if not twice as shorter, than a normal girly-girl’s." “So does that mean that you are single? Or you just on a getaway?” “Does that really matter to you? Either way I’m not here with anyone and that means that you can make your move--if you are going to make one.” “Oh I,” the blonde said as reached for her hand,” I am definitely making a move.” “Well in that case, I guess you should tell me your name.” “The name is Samuel, Samuel James: and who are you?” “Ashley Davis is my name.” “Well, Ashley, what would you like to do today?” That night, Ashley went back to the apartment to get her possessions. “I knew that you would come back. I missed you and did some thinking about what you were saying.” “I guess that is too bad.” “Why is that? Did you meet someone while you were out?” “I need my things and don’t have time to talk.” “Is there something that I don’t understand? Ashley, are you trying to say that we are no more? So what is with the sudden change of heart? Did you meet someone while you were out?” “Daniel, I just agree with what you were saying. That is all,” Ashley stated as she strolled out of the apartment with her belongings. “Wait!” shrieked Daniel as he scuttled out behind Ashley only to see that the existent reason that she was leaving was undeniably a guy. He was moderately shorter than Daniel and his insecurely free, brilliant blonde hair hung subduing in his eyes. He wore a crimson long-sleeved chemise with an unpretentious pair of sapphire denims. “Is this him, Ashley?” the guy solicited with a defiant smirk on his rosy-cheeked face. “Who is this? Is he the reason that you are leaving me?” Daniel alleged in a penetrating accent. “No, I just feel that we should move on and see other people.” At that time, suddenly Ashley gave Daniel a kiss on the cheek. “Good-bye Daniel.” Chapter 2 “What is wrong Ashley?” “Nothing.” “Oh don’t lie; you are really bad at it anyways.” “I miss him that’s all. I mean just really miss him.” “Well Ashley you have to let go.’ “Forget about him, is that what you mean?” “No I mean to let go of the pain and hate to remember the love that you have for him.” “It’s just hard, you know? They took him away for his beliefs as if they were a sin.” “Yeah, I know, but you have to move on and to live and forget.” “Or I could get even for what they have done.” “Ashley, it’s not worth the trouble and heartbreak that will put you through.” “As long I get what I want, revenge is always worth it.” Ashley spent most of the night tossing and turning, ruminating about what she had done to Daniel. All that she could think about was how badly she had brought misery on pun him. It stayed in her subliminal mind all through the night; seeping into her dreams with the anguish that she could only imagine she had inflicted Daniel. It left such a sensation of dejection that Ashley could not shake to the point that she felt so incompetent beyond renovation. Soon it became clear to Ashley that what she really wanted was to be with Daniel. She wanted to feel him lie adjacent to her and to have his body heat warm up on a night as unruffled as this. She turned to Sam to see if she could her warmth from him. He lay there on hi back allowing his abs to seen, which only left her to remember the night before; with the roughhousing and the fun that they had had.
