THE RAIN
The rain falls down with rhythm and beat The sun and I, we seldom meet When rain falls down, it hides my tears When rain falls down, it hides the fears It falls into darkness and fills this hole Its blackened depth is filling my soul When rain falls down, it hides my pain When rain falls down, it hides the stain This is where my heart resides Broken and battered to live out its life When rain falls down, it chills the bone But nothing’s as cold as being alone
