Mac Stone sat in the office of the YOU2 company.

“Yes, Mr. Stone, it will be a perfect replica. No one will know the difference.”

“But will my wife know the difference?”

“No one will. It will be programmed to listen to her and say what she wants to hear. And you will be set free to do the things you want to do.”

         “It’s a lot of money ~~ “

“Mr. Stone, it is your freedom.”

“All right, let’s go for it.”

{indent{Alice was nervous waiting her turn to be interviewed by someone at YOU 2. This might be the answer to all she was going through, her dreary life, the unrelieved sameness of her days.

She was tired of cleaning and cooking for someone who never seemed to notice what she did or value her work. He rarely looked up from his newspaper and once dinner was over he went to the couch and turned on the TV. She was just plain tired!

Seated in the YOU 2 office she explained her plight. The man at the desk told her, “It will be your exact double. Your biological identical twin would be less like you. It will be programmed to love housework.”

“That’s not like me,” she said with a nervous laugh.

“No, that is the programming. It will be programmed to like to cook and all the duties you are so tired of. You will be free to do the things you like to do.”

“And you are sure my husband will not know the difference?”

“He will not. I guarantee it.”

“Well, he hardly notices me now. Let’s do it!”

“A good decision. You will not regret it, Mrs. Stone!”
