What Are They Feeding You?

She puts down the diaper pad, and
Pulls out a new pamper, for the
Baby.

Whew! What have they been feeding you?
She asks the small squirming toddler.
It is…

Mandarin oranges, raisins
And cheese, a small yellow Lego
And peas…

She holds her nose as she wipes off,
The clay-like pungent matter, and
She retches.

Oh looky! Some corn! She cries!
Is that a ladybug? I think
It is!

And wow, green beans, and carrots, yum!
Some sesame seeds, and a dime.
Good grief!

***************************

Awful! She tells her coworker,
After their lunch, at Taco Bell.
I swear!

The Nachos Bell Grande reminds
Her of that diaper hours ago
Who knew?
