Persian: Subh e doulat tulo e talaat e oost Sham e zulmat nishan e zulmat e oost Urdu: Subh e daulat tulo e talaat e dost Sham e zulmat nuishan e zulmat e dost English:=== Her glowing face makes the morning bright Her raven hair gives darkness to night - Persian: Mehr az khan e o nivala rasaan Mah e nau kham zay behr e khidmat e oost Urdu: Khan say us kay mehr ki rozi Mah e nau kham hay behr e khidmat e dost English:=== Seeing her face sun sets at noon And bows to her the crescent moon - Persian: Az qadash pa e sarv maanda ba gil Lala ra dagh e dil ba furqat e oost Urdu: Sarv jhuktay haen daekh ker qamat Dagh e lala haen sab ba furqat e dost English:=== Facing her cypress stands not tall Seeing her face feels the tulip small - Persian: Rang o boo e gul az rukhash ba chaman Naala e bulbul az mohabbat e oost Urdu: Rang o boo gul maen us kay rukh ka faiz Naala bulbul ka wajh e ulfat e dost English:=== The scent in flowers is from her hair And sing her praise the birds everywhere - Persian: Sosan e deh zabaan khamosh ba bagh Lal maanda zay san e qudrat e oost Urdu: Sosan e deh zabaan hoie khamosh Daekh ker rang e husn e sanaat e dost English:=== And iris the talker, she has a fit Whenever she sees her grace and wit - Persian: Fuqr agar ranj e mehnat ast, amma Gunj e izzat ba kunj a uzlat e oost Urdu: Ranj e mehnat hay fuqr maen laikin Ganj e izzat hay kunj e uzlat e dost English:=== Though poverty is very hard to bear When you're with her you are an esquire - Persian: Ba dawa janib e tabeeb maroo Sehat e aajil az tibaabat e oost Urdu: Na wo jaay tabeeb ki janib Daeway jis ko shafa tibaabat e dost English:=== Go not to the doctor when you're ill Just go to her, and cure you she will - Persian: Dar tareeq e salook salik ra Her cheh paesh aayad az iradat e oost Urdu: Dar tareeq e salook salik ko Aay derpaesh jo, iradat e dost English:=== O mystic, the hurdles you've in the way Ordained are they; they are okay - Persian: Qumri o andaleeb o HAFIZ neest Hama gooya ba zikr e madhat e oost Urdu: Qumri o andaleeb o HAFIZ ko Hay shab o roz zikr e madhat e dost English:=== The hearts of men she all has won O HAFIZ, I'm not the only one ====
