Tangerine sunrise, Seagulls dive for silver flesh fast. Savage waves crash Nature is a contrast. Delightful shells wash ashore. an emotional mix; beaten, crushed, whole, vivid colors I pound sand with anguish. Try to make plans align strength, strife delicacy never wins my ever raining love life. I did it wrong yet again. Salt stings delicate skin. I made a lovely sandcastle, Inviting outside, hollow inside. Do I lack heart? Blue skies tremble, fade away. Thunderstorms take their place. Wishes for silver linings come to stay. I remember lovers mornings, sun kissed skin, joined as one. Our mouths taste salty sweet. Love is wild, white caps on the ocean, gentle teasing of tide on sand satisfied blue happiness. Maybe this was a summertime romance. I expect too much; that wouldn't be unusual. Sandcastles are like life, we see mortal beauty ebb and flow. We remember lovers and joy. In the end, we must let it all go. By Kathie Stehr
