Summer Twilight
Poem written while walking through my yard on a summer night

end of the day.
sunshine setting.
moonlight rising.
starlight beginning.
i lose myself,
in humid summer twilight.
walking through grass.
evening dew,chilled,rejuvenating
easing the aches
of my tired bare feet.
holding summer blossoms
in the palm of my hand.
gleaming in moonlight,
radiant from kisses
left by raindrops.
summer's nocturnal orchestra
filling tepid,moist air,
with sounds of nuptial joy.
the beauty of summer, the splender of night,
the wonders of summer twilight.
