The Clouds
Today the sky’s so clear The grass makes a soft bed Clouds through the limbs appear Breeze blowing away my dread A horse, a car, there’s a lamb Fluffy white shapes passing by Thinking of who I am No one here to make me cry Yes, I’m much older Missing my bed on the ground Life’s so sober It makes me want to frown But as I lay here On my bed in my room I have lost my fear And I have past the gloom My mind goes back To the bed of grass Time I have lost track And stay here awhile in the past By Ida Matilda Wright 10/31/07
