When I am old beyond a reason Grant my wish before you go. That your kiss will brush my forehead And your prayers will touch my soul. May your voice be as a whisper The song of birds in repose. Recall my tales of passon My childhood active in my soul. When I am old within some reason Show the essence of time in a moment. Children stomping rain puddles, laughing A pouring rain leaving a newborn's scent. Remind me, tell me, joke of our follies Reassure me love was sincere - a heart that gave enough (was it enough?) Holding, raising you both for your life to start. When I am old beyond a reason, And my soul will finally sleep, Brush a kiss aginst my forehead Smile ado until we meet. {/b}
