Persian:  Alghias aey maya e jaan, alghias
              Kufr e zulfat burd eimaan alghias
Urdu:      Alghias aey maya e jaan, alghias
              Lootti hay zulf eimaan alghias

English:=== The only one I have is she, O God
                  And look, what she did to me, O God
                                                  -

Persian:  Ma hamilaisaem lab az  tishnagi
              Dar labanat aab e haiwaan alghias
Urdu;        Tishnagi say chattay haen hount ham
                Lab maen taeray aab e haiwaan alghias

English:=== The spring of life she has in her lips
                  And I am so very thirsty, O God
                                                  -

Persian:  Weh kuja shud sharbat e deedaar e to
              Meekushad talkhi e hijraan alghias
Urdu:      Sharbat e deedaar taera kya huwa
              Reh gaie talkhi e hijraan alghias

English:=== And in her absence I cannot survive
                  But her I cannot even see, O God

Persian:  Ma zay girya gharq dar khoun gashtaem
              Lal e to paiwasta khandaan alghias
Urdu:      Gharq haen aankhaen hamaari khoun maen
              Lab teray laikin haen khandaan alghias

                  And hide she cannot her glee, O God

Persian:  Ghamza e shoukh e to az rah e ajal
              Meezanad duzdeeda paikaan alghias
Urdu:      Qalb per is shoukh ki tirchi nazar
              Maaray ik duzdeeda paikaan alghias

                  Inflicted she has such injury, O God

Persian:  Az khadang o nawak e mizgaan e to
              Zakhmha uftaada dar jaan alghias
Urdu:      Nawak o paikaan nay mizgaan kay teray
              Ker diay zakhmi dil o jaan alghias

                  An expert she is in archery, O God

Persian:  Hamchu goe az zakhm e chougaan e falak
              Her taraf gashtaem ghaltaan alghias
Urdu:      Kha kay chougan e falak ki chout ham
              Her tarak jaatay haen ghaltaan alghias

                  There's nothing but misery and agony, O God

Persian;  Chashm e beemarat mara beemar kard
              Juz labanat neest dermaan alghias
Urdu:      Taeri beemar aankh ka beemar houn
              Juz teray lab kya hay dermaan alghias

              Rishta e tan bhee hay paichaan alghias

Persian:  Baa tanaab e zulf HAFIZ ra bakash
              Maanda dar chah e zanikhdaan alghias
Urdu:      Zulf ki zangeer say HAFIZ ko khainch
              Wo hay dar chah e zanikhdaan alghias
