Persian:  Dard e ma ra neest darmaan alghias
              Hijr e ma ra neest payaan alghias
Urdu:      Dard ka koie na darmaan alghias
              Hijr ka koie na payaan alghias

English:=== Our sorrow has no cure, O God
                  How long can we endure  O God?
                                                    -

Persian:  Din o dil burdand o qasd e jaan kunand
              Alghias az jour e khoobaan alghias
Urdu:      Qasd e jaan kertay haen lay kay din o dil
              Alghias aey jour e khoobaan alghias

English:=== The lovely ones are robbers all
                  Pillage and death they ensure, O God
                                                      -

Persian:  Dar bahaa e bosaay jaanay talab
              Meekunand in dilsitaanan alghias
Urdu:      Aek bosa day kay kertay haen talab
              Jaan hamaari dilsitaanan alghias

English:=== Our life they take when a kiss they give
                  Oh, how we lovers they lure, O God

Persian:  Khoun e ma khurdand in kaafirdilan
              Aey musalmaanan cheh darmaan alghias
Urdu:      Peetay haen kaafir hamara khoun e dil
              Aey musalman kya hay darmaan alghias

Persian:  Daad e miskeenan badeh aey rooz e wasl
              Az shab e yulda e hijraan, alghias
Urdu:      Day paneh mushtaaq ko aey roz e wasl
              Az shab e tareek e hijraan alghias

                  A life apart we endure, O God

Persian:  Her zamaanam dard e deegar meerasad
              Zin hareefan bar dil o jaan alghias
Urdu:      Ik naya gham her zamaan datey haen wo
              Jaan o dil jin per haen qurbaan alghias

Persian:  Hamchu HAFIZ rooz o shab batkhaishtan
              Gashtaam sozaan o giryaan alghias
Urdu:      Baykhudi maen ham haen HAFIZ ki terheh
              Roz o shab sozaan o giryaan alghias
