My Twenty-Two Years In my twenty-two years I have never been to college I have never had a steady job I've never found a cure for the common cold Or invented a much needed gizmo. In my twenty-two years I have never saved someones life I have no life long childhood friends I've never been the popular one Or been rich enough for some. But in my twenty-two years I can say I've made my mother proud I've got a high school diploma I have my own poetry published And have survived this long in this world. In my twenty-two years I have married my one true love And most importantly I've made miracles My two sons.
