what is to come?
this poem describes a period of time which it seemed as if things were not going well...

To you who I write,
I hope you understand
I never meant to hurt you,
I never wanted this.
But now I see in my ignorance,
In my pure state of blindness,
I didn't avoid breaking my promise to myself.

"Why?" I question myself.
"Why did I do this?
Surely after this I shall never be loved."
But you proved me wrong.
Your innocence showed through,
Yet it lacked its light
All because I destroyed the star inside.

I know it's not enough,
I know you won't accept it,
But I want you to know
How sorry I am.
I love you so much, and you know this,
But am I really worthy of such love?
I truthfully don't know,
but I'm sure, my love, you know the answer.
