After Thoughts

My dreams bring visions from my past.
They're warnings that will come to pass.
Are they haunting of my guilt and shame?
I've sinned and used God's name in vain.


They are things that I should have done.
Like sharing more of love with everyone.
There's been times when a simple smile.
Would have brought joy to a little child.


Most people are good and honest to me.
There's only a few who'll lie and deceive.
Along time negativity has stopped me.
A doubtful mind that wouldn't let me see.


Fear is negativity that's very hard to fight.
You must be ready every day and night.
If my positive thoughts had guided me.
I would have prayed to God for clarity.


After thoughts are usually always right.
They brings past doubts into ones sight.
Out of the negativity and into the light.
Revealing doubts that haunt us at night.
